High Velocity Engines (HVE) is sister company to Vintage Iron & Restoration, a company you’ve trusted for years in the restoration of classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods. As Vintage Iron grew rapidly from its founding in 2004, they experienced a corresponding increase in demand from customers for engine building services. The increased volume of engine work from their customers eventually led to the creation of High Velocity Engines in 2014 to exclusively cater to that line of business.
HVE’s primary goal is delivering a high quality custom engine that exceeds your expectations. We start with an initial consultation meeting to determine your objectives. This meeting will determine camshaft selection, piston selection, cylinder head flow requirements, etc. We then take the time in every step of the process (from teardown to assembly) to meticulously measure and document tolerances. Every engine we deliver is blueprinted and comes with a build sheet of all critical tolerances documented for you.
While our “bread and butter” is building high-performance domestic engines for muscle cars and hot rods, we also rebuild less mainstream engines such as vintage straight sixes and eights as well as flathead V-8's. We also build ultra-high performance engines for discriminating customers and even race engines for vintage race cars.
If you don’t need a complete rebuild or if you prefer to assemble your own engine, we would be happy to do the machine work on any parts for you. From surfacing cylinder heads to getting the short block machined and ready for you to assemble, High Velocity Engines partners with you to get the results you need.
